A beautifully worked antique heart padlock pendant, in solid 9ct gold and hallmarked for London, 1972.
The heart is richly engraved to the front with flowing scrollwork and a traditional keyhole motif, framed by a finely chased border. The padlock retains its original hinged shackle. Worn today as a symbol of love, devotion, or remembrance, heart padlocks have been cherished since the Georgian and Victorian eras.
Excellent condition.
