A striking Victorian sterling silver Albert chain necklace with an ornate oval silver locket pendant, converted from a gentleman’s Albert watch chain into a bold and highly wearable antique necklace.

The substantial hallmarked sterling silver chain has excellent weight and presence, sitting beautifully at choker length with a decorative drop section that allows the piece to be styled in several ways. The original T-bar fitting and Albert chain configuration have been retained, giving the necklace strong Victorian character and versatility when worn.

Suspended from the central ring is a beautifully detailed oval locket featuring applied silver bands, engraved foliate decoration, and a richly textured central panel of raised silver detailing that catches the light beautifully against the softly oxidised finish. Delicate silver beadwork around the border adds further depth and craftsmanship.
