Late-Victorian onyx locket featuring a radiant eight-pointed star, which within Victorian iconography represented divine guidance and hope emerging from darkness - a motif beloved by those navigating loss.

Onyx represents strength, protection, grounding, and remembrance. In Victorian jewellery it was frequently used for sentimental or mourning pieces.

Seed pearls symbolise purity, innocence, and tears. They often appear in mourning jewellery and love tokens because they evoke both tenderness and devotion.

The star motif is a classic Victorian symbol meaning guidance, hope, and divine protection. Stars were also used to represent a “guiding light” or a loved one watching over.

Very good antique condition- only the tiniest surface abrasion. Glass intact.
