Georgian 9ct Gold Seed Pearl & Green Paste Floral Ring - Size K½

£350.00

This beautiful antique ring dates to the late Georgian period (circa 1810-1835) and is a perfect example of the delicate craftsmanship and romantic symbolism that defined jewellery of the era. Set in 9ct gold, the ring features a raised floral cluster of natural seed pearls encircling a vivid grass-green paste gemstone, all presented in a traditional closed-back setting typical of early 19th-century work.

Georgian jewellery is rich in meaning, and this piece is no exception. Seed pearls symbolise purity, innocence, and devotion - traditionally gifted as tokens of affection and remembrance. The flower motif represents love blossoming. Green was associated with renewal, hope, and the promise of the future.
