A 9ct rose gold and black enamel ring set with a bold, Gothic-style “F” initial. The use of black enamel nods strongly to the tradition of Victorian mourning jewellery, when rings were often worn in memory of loved ones.
It is marked with a makers mark WN and stamped 9ct and whilst there is no date stamp, its style and construction suggest it may date from the late 19th to mid 20th century.
